A Discussion of Details
How does a guy with absolutely no floral design experience become one of the most important parts of our Tailored Twig floral design team? Nash, originally from Artemisa, Cuba, is a former Mixed Martial Arts fighter and had a school in Cuba where he taught 28 students. He previously worked as security in bars and there are not a lot of flowers there. It’s pretty simple, Nachiell (Nash) de Santis is our floral design teams nuts and bolts guy, our warehouse manager! Nash loves to build things, especially out of wood and metal; so he is a major part of creating our structures for wedding ceremonies and sweetheart tables. And while Nash is for the most part a behind the scenes guy, we wanted to learn a little bit about Nash. Nash is absolutely an outdoors guy. When we asked him what his last meal earth would be he answered “Not food, I would drink mead from a horn!” In his free time, Nash likes to travel outside the city and enjoy nature with his two pups Kiara and Johnny. Kiara is a German Shepherd – Lab mix and Johnny is an Akita mix. When it comes to travel, music and reading, Nash’s taste is all outdoorsmen too. He prefers the cooler weather of fall and winter. His ultimate travel destinations would be Norway, Denmark, Scotland and Ireland, it’s something about the mountains that draws him in. Nash’s taste in music runs from Dark County to Irish folk. On the more serious side, Nash loves to give back. He was a former volunteer firefighter in Sarasota and headed to Miami after hurricane Irma to help with hurricane relief. When we asked Nash about his secret, or no so secret obsession he gave us a very Nash answer. “A secret is a secret.” One of the absolute best things about Nash is that he is always putting others first, always checking in to see how he can help out, and always, always, always keeping us smiling. Nash is the very lighthearted, sweet, “tough guy” of Tailored Twig, and we are thrilled to have him as part of the team.
