A Discussion of Details
Our Tailored Twig quite often gets to be part of a wedding that people refer to as the love of a lifetime and friends wish them a lifetime of happiness.
Rarely do we have the unique pleasure of working with a couple whose love extends beyond the grave!
Recently, we had the opportunity to be part of an All Hallows Eve creative shoot with a couple whose love will last an eternity.
Fun concepts for a creative stylized shoot give our Tailored Twig design team the chance to work even farther out of the box than we normally do. We can work with exceptionally unusual elements, especially when the couple is out of this world.
The creative shoot was the concept of Arianna J Photography and VibeChaos Productions, who both love Halloween.
The pair took our Tailored Twig team to a remote wooded area outside of Sarasota to Mayakka, an area known as Wandering Woods. Shot just after sunset the styled shoot has a dark and dreamy feel.
Our Tailored Twig design team created two headpieces and a one of a kind bridal bouquet for this wedding with a “Day of the Dead” feel.
The inner workings and wiring of a mattress were used to create the wraps for the couple’s headpieces and to add texture and structure to the floral enhancements.
The groom’s headpiece was designed with foraged branches adding height. Dried seed pods were added to bring in a deep rich color which popped against the coal colored bones and skulls of the headband.
The bridal headpiece incorporated many of the same elements and we added some delicate Spanish moss and Jackpot Thistle for some softness and texture.
The bride’s oversized, asymmetric arm sheaf bouquet was a killer that perfectly complimented her headpiece and attire. Long slender foraged branches supported a cascade of deep burgundy kangaroo paw. Sharp spikey green and white thistle added to the unique textures, with a pop of brightness coming from the shades of purple in the Gladiator Allium.
No bridal bouquet would be complete without a little bling and adding a skull was just the right touch.
Congratulations to the not so happy couple, we wish you an everlasting love.
Our Tailored Twig design team loves working with couples to design beautiful focal points and ceremony structures for their wedding day.
In many cases, especially where the couple’s wedding ceremony and reception are in the same location, these hand tailored design elements can be repurposed to highlight the sweetheart table or wedding cake.
Lux And Intimate
Marysse and Bradley’s luxurious wedding was hosted at the beautiful Sage restaurant in downtown Sarasota.
Their intimate wedding ceremony was held on the rooftop with spectacular views of the Sarasota skyline.
Their rooftop wedding ceremony was dressed in gold, with gold chivari ballroom chairs and two tall brushed gold metallic trumpet vases flanking the couple as they exchanged their wedding vows.
The trumpet vases overflowed with spectacular florals that included pink and white roses, spray roses, lilac and astilbe.
During the couple’s cocktail reception, the two gold vessels were relocated to the reception space where they were placed on either side of the rustic wooden sweetheart table.
Romantic and Rustic at the Rialto
Chelsea and Matt’s wedding at the iconic Rialto Theatre in the historic Tampa heights section of Tampa began with the couple exchanging their wedding vows under a rustic trellis.
This romantic, yet rustic creation combined gold columns with a distressed wooden trellis, a thick garland wound its way around the structure. The garland included seeded eucalyptus, burgundy roses and striking king protea, a theme that was carried throughout the wedding.
As the room was transformed for the evening's wedding reception, the ceremony structure was repurposed as a beautiful focal point over the couple’s sweetheart table.
Monochromatic and Memorable
The Oxford Exchange was the location of Jenny and Jeff’s Tampa destination wedding. This wedding’s décor included a traditional Jewish wedding ceremony in the venues glass covered conservatory.
The room had a black and white checkerboard pattern floor that was set with high gloss black chivari chairs. Tall gold vessels were filled with lush monochromatic white florals which were placed along the center fountain as a décor element and then later placed atop long reception tables.
Repurposing elements of your wedding ceremony décor is an excellent way to add an additioanal focal point and luxurious details to your wedding reception.
How does a guy with absolutely no floral design experience become one of the most important parts of our Tailored Twig floral design team?
Nash, originally from Artemisa, Cuba, is a former Mixed Martial Arts fighter and had a school in Cuba where he taught 28 students. He previously worked as security in bars and there are not a lot of flowers there.
It’s pretty simple, Nachiell (Nash) de Santis is our floral design teams nuts and bolts guy, our warehouse manager!
Nash loves to build things, especially out of wood and metal; so he is a major part of creating our structures for wedding ceremonies and sweetheart tables.
And while Nash is for the most part a behind the scenes guy, we wanted to learn a little bit about Nash.
Nash is absolutely an outdoors guy. When we asked him what his last meal earth would be he answered “Not food, I would drink mead from a horn!”
In his free time, Nash likes to travel outside the city and enjoy nature with his two pups Kiara and Johnny. Kiara is a German Shepherd – Lab mix and Johnny is an Akita mix.
When it comes to travel, music and reading, Nash’s taste is all outdoorsmen too. He prefers the cooler weather of fall and winter. His ultimate travel destinations would be Norway, Denmark, Scotland and Ireland, it’s something about the mountains that draws him in. Nash’s taste in music runs from Dark County to Irish folk.
On the more serious side, Nash loves to give back. He was a former volunteer firefighter in Sarasota and headed to Miami after hurricane Irma to help with hurricane relief.
When we asked Nash about his secret, or no so secret obsession he gave us a very Nash answer. “A secret is a secret.”
One of the absolute best things about Nash is that he is always putting others first, always checking in to see how he can help out, and always, always, always keeping us smiling.
Nash is the very lighthearted, sweet, “tough guy” of Tailored Twig, and we are thrilled to have him as part of the team.
A show stopping structure for your wedding ceremony is sure to be Instagram worthy and set the tone for the weddings design story and our Tailored Twig team cake make that a reality.
Gone are the days of the basic white garden arches. Wedding structures can take on the personality of each couple and include sample elements of the décor to be found throughout the wedding.
Modern and Metallic
Amanda and Brad’s modern styled wedding at Tampa’s historic Orlo incorporated multiple tall brushed gold tone vessels with an explosion of greenery and white botanicals. These asymmetric creations were set against stark white flowing drapery.
The gold tones continued along the aisle in modern geometric vessels filled with similar greenery and floral.
The ceremony structure stood out against the clear acrylic ghost chairs that continued the modern design elements.
A Little Boho
Keri and Chris’s incredible beach wedding at the Longboat key Club incorporated a pampas grass wedding structure that fluttered in the gulf breeze.
Rustic wooden benches and an aisle layered with woven rugs brought the boho chic wedding vibe together.
A luxurious clear acrylic chuppah was the style selection for Allison and Matthew’s Selby Gardens Jewish wedding ceremony.
Clear acrylic columns held a canopy of white flowers with dozens of white phalaenopsis orchids cascading down.
This lush, monochromatic white color story popped against the clear elements of this beautiful wedding.
Out of This World!
A May the 4th, Star Wars themed wedding required an out of this world wedding structure.
Emily and Robert’s Selby Gardens wedding ceremony was set under enormous banyan trees. Their matte finish metallic, modern structure was wrapped in a swirl of rustic, textural banyan root with hanging amaranthus and a pop of color from the blue dendrobium orchids.
Ashley and Derek’s destination wedding on the beach of the historic Don Cesar incorporated a mix of modern and rustic natural elements.
Their wedding chuppah incorporated tall ceramic earth tone vessels supporting live bamboo. Soft greenery and pink and white flowers topped the vessels while a canopy of billowing white fabric creating a canopy for their waterfront Jewish wedding ceremony.
Beautiful wedding structures inspired by each couple set the tone for amazing things to come.
Be sure to reach out to our Tailored Twif design team to discuss adding a fabulous wedding structure to your wedding ceremony.

From lectures on innovative floral creation to hands-on creation of beautiful arrangements, our Tailored Twig team can design a class specifically around your organization’s needs.
We invite you to contact our Tailored Twig team at 813-304-2080 to discuss a floral design class for your special someone, friends, or organization.
Our Tailored Twig team recently worked with Amanda and Brad to create a beautiful wedding at a historic Tampa wedding venue, The Orlo.
The Orlo House along with the couple’s floral décor told a color story of white, green and gold brought together history with a modern edge.
The ladies spent the morning relaxing and doing a little yoga in the bridal suite before getting ready to head over to the University of Tampa for the couple’s first look, some photos with their wedding party and with their dogs, Luca and Max.
Amanda and her bridal party carried loose, hand tailored bouquets of white Duchess peonies, white Tibet roses and white ranunculus and snapdragons blended with green thistle, Italian ruscus and snow on the mountain.
Returning to The Orlo, the wedding ceremony was set against the backdrop of soft, white, flowing fabric. Four towering gold vessels held billowing arrangements of antique hydrangea, white roses and lush greenery, that anchored the space where Amanda and Brad would exchange their wedding vows.
Rows of clear acrylic ghost chairs formed an aisle which was lined with modern gold metallic vessels overflowing with greenery, and gold footed compotes with roses and hydrangea, intermingled with chunky cream colored pillar candles.
Following their wedding ceremony, the couple made their way upstairs for some time alone upstairs enjoying some hors d’oeuvres before some returning for some family photos.
The ballroom was filled with a mixture of long feasting tables and round tables draped with crisp white linens. Tables were layered with vintage white charger plates with gold bands, gold rimmed stemware and gold flatware.
An eclectic mixture of gold vessels filled with green thistle, seed eucalyptus, snapdragons, wax flower and roses complemented each table’s styling.
A vintage gold bar cart draped in flowing white fabric and accented with gold budvases and votive candles served as the serving piece for Amanda and Brad’s smooth white two-tiered wedding cake.
Congratulations Amanda and Brad, we are thrilled to have been part of this luxurious Tampa wedding.
Thank you to all of the Tampa Bay wedding professionals who made this day so special.

Jaleesa and Jermaine just make our Tailored Twig team smile. Their elegant beachfront wedding reception on Clearwater Beach was filled with laughter and it is easy to see how in love the two are.
Jaleesa wore an beautiful form fitting lace wedding gown and carried a stunning bouquet of blush peonies, white and black Marianne anemone, tropical ice pink protea and light pink snapdragons.
Jaleesa and Jermaine chose not to see each other prior to their church wedding, a decision that left Jermaine speechless as his beautiful bride-to-be made her way down the aisle.
The alter was accented with two large white urns filled with towering curly willow, seeded eucalyptus, pepperberry greens, pink amnesia roses and light pink snapdragons.
After the couple’s intimate wedding ceremony guests returned to the Sandpearl Resort for a spectacular beachside wedding reception.
From the moment Jaleesa and Jermaine walked into the resorts lobby you could tell this reception was going to be a lot of fun.
While their family and friends enjoyed cocktail hour the couple and their wedding party headed off for some fun.
The sprawling lawn facing the Gulf of Mexico was filled with an oversized dance floor flanked by luxurious reception tables.
Round tables draped with crisp white linen were dressed with roughcast vessels overflowing with waxflower, roses, protea and soft pink snapdragons. Small golden vases filled with flowers perfectly accented the gold rimmed table numbers, rose gold charger plates and shimmering antique glass votives.
Long wooden tables anchored the center of the lawn. Tall, slender golden risers supported rustic wooden arbors wrapped in garland with hanging snapdragons adding pops of color. Antique glass votive candles and modern gold vases filled with brightly colored flowers and lined the tables, tying the two table designs together.
A rustic wooden sweetheart table was adorned with vessels filled with brightly colored pink flowers and large wooden letters with the couple’s initials. A soft white vintage settee rested behind the table with the two oversized ceremony arrangements places to either side of the couple.
The side of the dance floor was set with comfortable lounge seating that incorporated vintage sofas mixed with modern gold and class tables, colorful arrangements in rustic vessels and fun sparkling pink accent pillows.
After a delicious beachside dinner, guests were treated to an amazing three-tiered naked wedding cake, accented with a few delicate blooms, as well as a fun, flavorful donut wall.
The evening ended with everyone dancing the night away under the stars on Clearwater Beach.
Congratulations Jaleesa and Jermaine we know your life together will be as much fun as your wedding day.

Our Tailored Twig team loved working with a talented team of wedding professionals for Marysse and Bradly’s intimate downtown Sarasota wedding.
Marysse and Bradley chose not to have a first look, so the first time they saw each other was when they met on the rooftop of Sage restaurant to exchange their wedding vows
Marysse and her wedding party spent the morning relaxing, drinking some Prosecco and getting ready for the wedding later that day.
Her hand tailored, lace wrapped bridal bouquet incorporated creamy ivory garden roses, pink faith rose, quicksand roses, white lace orlaya and green thistle in a soft yet modern creation. Her wedding party carried a slightly smaller version of Marysse’s bouquet with touch more pink to pair with their dresses.
Wedding guests made their way to Sage’s roof top with its incredible views of downtown Sarasota for Marysse and Bradley’s outdoor wedding ceremony. A ceremony space was created with rows of gold chivari chairs and two tall gold trumpet vases overflowing with roses in shades of pink and white accented with white astilbe, spray roses, white lilac and pepperberry greens.
After exchanging their wedding vows, Marysse and Bradley took some time for photos with their wedding party and some alone time in downtown Sarasota.
Inside the restaurant’s private event space, their sweetheart table was a beautiful naked wooden table, dressed with candles and two low arrangement in pink and white, flanked by the two beautiful ceremony pieces. A vintage white wood bench dressed with accent pillows and plush throws created the perfect seating compliment.
Wooden guest tables were layered with pink satin runners embroidered with sequins in a geometric pattern, vintage white charger plates with gold borders were layered with pink napkins and a custom menu card. Modern gold metallic vases held blooms in pinks and whites alongside frosted silver votive candles.
Congratulations Marysse and Bradley, we wish you a life together as fabulous as your wedding day.
Thank you to all of the incredible wedding professionals who brought Marysse and Bradley’s wedding to life.

Our Tailored Twig design team recently worked with creative brand consultant, Jenny and her husband-to-be Jeff on their beautiful downtown Tampa wedding at the Oxford Exchange.
This elegant wedding was a destination wedding for nearly all of the Guests. Everyone who attended was family or a close friend who had known either the bride or the groom practically their entire lives.
Jenny accented her incredible, form fitting modern lace wedding gown with a hand tailored, monochromatic bridal bouquet. This all white accessory of Eskimo roses, white ranunculus, astilbe and stock was simple, elegant and set the design tone for the rest of the wedding.
An elegant round wooden table in The Shop at the Oxford Exchange was filled with wedding photos from both of the couple’s families. Jenny provided several blue patterned ginger jars which our Tailored Twig design team filled with soft white hydrangea.
Jenny and Jeff’s traditional Jewish wedding ceremony was held in in the Oxford Exchange’s Atrium. Textured white brick walls are covered with climbing greenery in a zig zag pattern accenting the stark walls.
An antique dark wood carved table accented the space. Bud vases of Venetian style blown glass filled with delicate white flowers dotted the table where the couple would sign their custom designed ketubah.
Jenny and Jeff exchanged their wedding vows under a simple chuppah of four birchwood branches, held by special people in their lives, attached to a traditional tallit. Tall gold toned vessels overflowing with white hydrangea flanked the ceremony table and chuppah.
Following the wedding ceremony guests made their way just outside of the atrium for the cocktail reception. The dark wood space with an L shaped built in bar, eclectic décor and sweeping staircase made the perfect space for guests to mingle.
Bistro tables draped in soft white floor length linen were accented with bud vases and votive candles.
Back inside The Atrium, Jenny and Jeff took some time for wedding portraits before the ceremony space was transformed for dinner.
The white stone fountain, tall gold vessels filled with white hydrangea and towering trees created a backdrop for chic magazine worthy wedding portraits.
The Atrium was quickly transformed for the couple’s wedding reception. The tall gold vessels filled with hydrangea and the blown glass bud vases with delicate floral blooms filled sleek rectangular tables. Black cross back chairs, gold charger plates and candles in antique glass votive cups set against the white brick backdrop created a modern design.
After an evening of dinner and dancing, the couple cut their two-tiered white buttercream wedding cake, which our Tailored Twig team accented with a white spray roses.
Congratulation Jenny and Jeff!
Thank you to Tara Tomlinson Photography for sharing these amazing photos.
It was such a pleasure for our Tailored Twig team to work with Vanessa and Ted. Not only are they thoughtful, kind and fun-loving, but in addition to floral design and décor Tailored Twig did the wedding planning as well.
Creating a blog post for their wedding was incredibly difficult as we could have included hundreds of photos of this amazing couple.
Vanessa wore a soft white silk satin wedding gown with simple bow detail at the waist and a long flowing veil embroidered with a floral motif. Her bridal bouquet was an explosion of bright colors with peonies in pink and peach, snapdragons and bright yellow craspedia, giving a light garden feel
Under Vanessa’s gown were these bright yellow shoes; the yellow is in honor of her late father and an accent color found throughout the wedding design.
Vanessa’s wedding party wore lavender and lilac gowns accompanied by bouquets similar to the bride’s in slightly softer tones.
Not to be overlooked, Ted looked very handsome in his dark suit accented with a boutonniere of bright yellow craspedia with an air plant to add some texture. A lavender hemstitched pocket square and bow tie in shades of purple and blue completed the look.
Vanessa smiled ear to ear as she made her way down the aisle escorted by her stepfather. The elegant chapel with vaulted ceilings and dark wood pews was dressed with nosegays in peach, yellow and soft greenery with satin bows.
After the intimate wedding ceremony, wedding guests had the opportunity to explore the town on a trolley ride while Vanessa and Ted spent some time together taking photographs.
The pre-reception on the resort’s waterfront Lodge Event Lawn was hosted under a canopy of Edison lights and tables were draped in bright yellow and yellow patterned geometric linens. Tablescapes included geometric cold vessels with brightly colored florals and votive candles in gold cups.
The centerpiece of the reception was a spectacular seating chart, an oversized white modern frame with a swag of pink flowers and greenery. In the center hung an acrylic panel with hand-lettered seating arrangements.
The tented wedding reception under a billowing canopy of fabric was an incredible mixture of colors and textures.
Rustic chandeliers cradled in greenery hung above a parquet dance floor, surrounded by wooden farmhouse tables and French county chairs that added a grounding element to the design.
Long wooden tables were layered with yellow textured table runners in a bold pattern with brushed gold vessels filled with blooms in pink, peach and yellow.
Round tables were draped in a softer yellow geometric pattern and dressed with tall brushed gold urns overflowing with peonies, roses, snapdragons, and greenery in a brilliant assortment of colors.
Glass charger plates in deep rich tones with custom menu cards, antique glass votives and napkins with a touch of greenery connected the two designs.
A lounge area with an emerald velvet sofa, a mahogany coffee table, and gold end tables added a place to relax away from the dance floor.
Wedding guests danced and dined on a signature salad of Farm Fresh Greens, Goat Cheese, Poached Pears, Sunflower Seeds, Dried Cranberries, and Hammock Beach Vinaigrette.
A duet entrée of Petit Filet Mignon & Sea Scallops, with Roasted Fingerlings, Carrot Curls, Citrus Gremolata, Sweet Butter followed.
Vanessa and Ted ended their evening by cutting this show-stopping three-tiered wedding cake in the colors of the sunset accented by fresh blooms.
Congratulations Vanessa and Ted, we wish you a lifetime filled with as many smiles as you had on your wedding day.
Thank you to the amazng creative team who brought this day together.
