A Discussion of Details
Kristina and Nathan’s downtown Tampa wedding could not have been sweeter and our Tailored Twig floral design team loved every minute of their special day.
Following the wedding ceremony at Tampa’s Jesuit Chapel, the couple and their wedding guests made their way to the Oxford Exchange. It is the perfect gathering space in downtown Tampa for an evening of dinner and dancing.
The couple took some time in the Oxford Exchange’s Book Store for some photos. An entry table was designed with a two-tiered cascading floral creation overflowing with blooms in burgundy, red and white, and was centered in the entry space along with pictures of the couple.
Kristina looked stunning in a light, flowing lace gown with cap sleeves. Her hand-tailored color-blocked bouquet of burgundy dahlias, chocolate cosmos, Marianne anemone, leucadendron crowns, Bells of Ireland and seeded eucalyptus added bursts of color and texture
Elements of her bridal bouquet carried through into her wedding party’s green monochromatic bouquets and the anemone and leucadendron found in Nathan’s elegant boutonniere.
Following some photographs, the couple made their way into the Atrium. A sweetheart table flanked one side of the room and two oversized wingback chairs sat behind the table draped with a blue velvet runner. The tablescape was adorned with clusters of mercury glass candle Goblets in varying sizes and styles as well as Krista’s bridal bouquet.
The table was flanked by two tall golden trumpet vases with asymmetric arrangements in shades of burgundy, white and green from the couple's wedding ceremony.
Across the room, long tables circled the fountain in the center of the room. Luxurious blue velvet table runners continued the color story and set a brilliant backdrop for the floral scape.
Tall glass hurricane globes protected tall taper candles intermingled with textured silver vessels holding nosegays of huge burgundy dahlias, clematis, jade green hypericum berries and quicksand, and ivory roses.
Modern black goblets and mercury glass with candles completed the design and tied it to the sweetheart table.
After dinner and dancing, the evening ended with an incredible wedding cake and desserts. The only thing sweeter than this 11-layer shortbread cookie stacked wedding cake adorned with beautiful blooms, was Nathan’s surprise. He had the baker reproduce Krista’s favorite cheesecake, something she could no longer find.
Congratulations Kristina and Nathan, we wish you a sweet life together!
