A Discussion of Details
Our Tailored Twig quite often gets to be part of a wedding that people refer to as the love of a lifetime and friends wish them a lifetime of happiness.
Rarely do we have the unique pleasure of working with a couple whose love extends beyond the grave! Recently, we had the opportunity to be part of an All Hallows Eve creative shoot with a couple whose love will last an eternity. Fun concepts for a creative stylized shoot give our Tailored Twig design team the chance to work even farther out of the box than we normally do. We can work with exceptionally unusual elements, especially when the couple is out of this world. The creative shoot was the concept of Arianna J Photography and VibeChaos Productions, who both love Halloween. The pair took our Tailored Twig team to a remote wooded area outside of Sarasota to Mayakka, an area known as Wandering Woods. Shot just after sunset the styled shoot has a dark and dreamy feel.
Our Tailored Twig design team created two headpieces and a one of a kind bridal bouquet for this wedding with a “Day of the Dead” feel. The inner workings and wiring of a mattress were used to create the wraps for the couple’s headpieces and to add texture and structure to the floral enhancements. The groom’s headpiece was designed with foraged branches adding height. Dried seed pods were added to bring in a deep rich color which popped against the coal colored bones and skulls of the headband. The bridal headpiece incorporated many of the same elements and we added some delicate Spanish moss and Jackpot Thistle for some softness and texture.
The bride’s oversized, asymmetric arm sheaf bouquet was a killer that perfectly complimented her headpiece and attire. Long slender foraged branches supported a cascade of deep burgundy kangaroo paw. Sharp spikey green and white thistle added to the unique textures, with a pop of brightness coming from the shades of purple in the Gladiator Allium. No bridal bouquet would be complete without a little bling and adding a skull was just the right touch.
Congratulations to the not so happy couple, we wish you an everlasting love.
