A Discussion of Details
Early March was the perfect time for Ashley and Derek’s St. Pete Beach wedding at the iconic Don Cesar Hotel, and our Tailored Twig design team could not have been happier to be part of their special wedding day. The couple, transplants from Ohio, invited their family and friends to a enjoy some warmer Tampa Bay weather with a traditional Jewish wedding ceremony on the sands of the Gulf of Mexico. Ashley looked stunning in a floral patterned sheer lace sheath wedding gown and chapel length veil draped to cover her shoulders. Ashley carried a hand tailored bridal bouquet in shades of white and green which included Duchess peonies, garden roses, Queen Anne’s lace, white campanula, snapdragons, wax flower, seeded eucalyptus and white and black Marianne Anemone. The bride’s beautiful bouquet was a stark contrast to her bridal party in their dusty rose gowns carrying handtied bouquets of lush greenery, green thistle and accented with soft pink King protea. The couple’s traditional Jewish wedding ceremony was held under a chuppah constructed with tall textured ceramic vessels filled with towering bamboo and a canopy of flowing white satin. The bases of the vessels were adorned with quicksand roses and vendela roses, greenery and soft hanging green amaranthus to frame the entrance to the chuppah. The couple’s wedding reception in the Don Cesar’s newly renovated ballroom included an eclectic mix of tablescapes. Long rectangular guest tables were designed with tall contemporary gold tone metallic risers which held full lush clusters of greenery and studded with soft pink and white flowers accented with pink ice protea at the base. Other tables alternated with unique textured organic vessels and more traditional footed compotes overflowing with anemone, snapdragons, seeded eucalyptus, ruscus, pink and white roses, ranunculus and protea. A few soft white ranunculus, pink roses, wax flower and a statue of the couple’s fur baby Winnie complimented their two-tiered naked wedding cake. This wedding design in soft pink and white with unique textural elements was the perfect creations for the historic pink Don Cesar and the eclectic blending of a traditional Jewish wedding and a contemporary couple.
