A Discussion of Details
With everything that is currently going on in the world, our Tailored Twig team wanted to do a quick check-in. We wanted to let you know that our team is still here working behind the scenes with our couples planning Florida weddings. We also thought that sharing some beautiful images from Carolyn and William’s Ritz-Carlton Sarasota on New Year’s Eve might bring a smile to your faces. Their beautiful Sarasota wedding began with a magical church wedding ceremony. This black and white photograph, as they left the church, is one of our favorites. Carolyn’s hand-tailored bridal bouquet was a unique combination of textures and florals, all within a white color story with touches of greenery. Her bouquet included giant white calla lilies, Duchess peonies, white ranunculus, and Marianne anemone paired with seeded eucalyptus, plumosa fern, green thistle, and magnolia leaves. The groom’s boutonniere incorporated several elements from the bride’s bouquet. Our team chose a creamy white ranunculus and the texture of green thistle to pop against his classic white tuxedo. This little guy wore a Marianne anemone, with its black center and fluttering white petals, pinned to his suspenders. And, how freaking adorable are these two being pulled down the aisle in a wagon wrapped in Italian ruscus? Following their touching wedding ceremony, the couple and their wedding guests gathered at the Ritz-Carlton Sarasota for dinner and the disco party to end all. Long rectangular guest tables were placed under a canopy of twinkling lights. Each table was draped in soft light pink linen and layered with gold-rimmed glass charger plates, pink satin napkins, and custom-designed menu cards. The center of each table was filled with a flowing collection of eclectic vessels, candles, and blooms. Our Tailored Twig design team incorporated vessels that blended modern gold tones, mercury glass, and miniature handblown works of art. The vessels overflowed with lush, textured greenery incorporating Bells of Ireland, Southern smilax, magnolia leaves, and ferns punctuating them white wax flowers, Eskimo roses, white calla lilies, and striking black burgundy scabiosa. The long flowing tablescape was dotted with brass candlesticks with white taper candles as well as collections of gold and mercury glass votive candle holders. This was a luxurious look that functioned well on the long rectangular tables. Once dinner had concluded, guests made their way to a space that was transformed into a shimmering disco. The night was filled with dancing and made ringing in the new year extra special. This is sure to be a New Year’s Eve wedding that Carolyn and William’s family and friends will be talking about for years to come. Congratulations Carolyn and William, we wish you both a lifetime of happiness. Our Tailored Twig design team was thrilled to be part of this incredible Sarasota wedding. The portraits from Georgette and Thomas’ Oxford Exchange wedding in downtown Tampa looks like they could have come from an editorial photo shoot. The deep burgundy color story and romantic vintage detailing added to the feel. And after working with Georgette on floral designs for her bridal shower, our Tailored Twig design team really understood her style. She looked incredible in her lace A-Line wedding dress with a sweetheart neckline. Her custom-tailored bridal bouquet of blueberry and quicksand roses, purple anemone, burgundy clematis black scabiosa and purple waxflower also incorporated red designer amaranthus and nigella pods for texture. Her sliver satin Manolo Blahnik pumps were the perfect accent. The bridal party’s bouquets of ivory Vendela and quicksand roses with fresh cut Agonis branches popped against their shimmering deep burgundy dresses. Thomas and his wedding party looked sharp in their dark suits with burgundy pocket squares and matching burgundy boutonnieres with green thistle accents. The couple’s wedding portraits on the wooden staircase lined with greenery and pillar candles looks like they stepped out of a magazine. The entrance to the reception space was set with a round entry table containing a modern glass welcome sign, guest book and a lot of candles in vintage mercury glass vessels. A tall bronze tone urn with a lush arrangement of burgundy florals and thick cascading greenery accented the entry. The industrial table top of the Oxford Exchange’s dining room was set with unique eclectic tablescapes that incorporated flickering candles in mercury glass containers, gold toned vessels in modern geometric shapes and clear Venetian glass budvases. Each vessel held unique botanicals in shades of deep burgundy and red along with textured greenery, Spanish moss and long streaming pheasant feathers. Chunky modern table numbers and vintage keys connected to each guest’s place card added more texture to the tablescapes. Georgette and Thomas’ sweetheart table continued the elements found on each tablescape. Nigella pods, burgundy snapdragons and deep ruby red hanging amaranthus added a lot of texture to the arrangements. The fabulous high backed, domed chairs lined in tweed were the perfect paring to the couple’s sweetheart table. The newlywed’s four-tiered wedding cake was displayed against the rustic vine covered, whitewashed brick wall. The unique colors and textures of each of the cake’s layers were accented by the black scabiosa, purple anemone and pheasant feathers. Congratulations Georgette and Thomas, we know your wedding was picture perfect! Thank you to the incredible team of professionals who brought their vision into focus.
