A Discussion of Details
Michelle and Ben’s wedding had the type of floral details that our Tailored Twig design Team adores; this wedding has all the feels and we are sure you will feel the same way. Their day began with a Tampa wedding ceremony at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in downtown Tampa. Michelle wore a magnificent mermaid wedding gown with full train and lace bustier style bodice encrusted with crystals by Israeli couture wedding gown designer Inbal Dror. Her cascading bridal bouquet of white phalaenopsis orchids, white peonies, and pink garden roses was embellished with a gold crucifix and the perfect complement to her incredible veil and gown. Ben wore a Salvatore Ferragamo tuxedo; complimented with a single white phalaenopsis orchid with a silver wrapped stem. After the Tampa wedding ceremony, the couple and their wedding guests made their way to their beautiful Ritz Carlton Sarasota for the wedding reception. The luxurious ballroom design was a unique collection of tablescapes. Round guest tables draped in soft pink linen held tell glass vessels with floral pieces in shades of soft pink, white and cream. The florals included pink hydrangea, pink garden roses, cream spray roses, garden roses and extra-long stems of phalaenopsis orchids with shimmering strands of crystals. These tables opened into a space with a stunning six-tiered wedding cake seated on several dozen stems of beautiful white orchids. The length of the ballroom was filled by a long, rectangular glass table surrounded by Ornate Belle ghost chairs. The table was anchored with glass candelabras with hanging crystals. Between the candelabras were a series of round footed vessels with domes of blush and white botanicals surrounded by mercury glass votive candles. A long rope of grapevine intertwined with orchid stems and hanging glass bubbles with votive candles floated above the guest’s heads. The spectacular focal point of the wedding was Michelle and Ben’s incredible sweetheart table! The couple dined at an antique mirror dining table, seated on an elegant vintage lovebird settee. An immense, lush canopy of flowers enveloped the couple. A thick blanket of hydrangea, garden roses, peonies, ginestra, limonium, ranunculus and orchids in a soft palette of pink, cream and white. Hanging crystals and clear glass bubbles with floating candles sparkled over the couple’s heads. This breathtaking wedding design mixing organic, metallic and glass elements with a soft elegant color scheme truly set the perfect backdrop for this elegant Ritz Carlton wedding reception.

Several weeks ago our Tailored Twig team shared a behind the scenes look called Swing From The Chandelier . We showcased how we constructed two five foot floral chandeliers for an upcoming wedding at the Armature Works. We decided to continue that spectacular wedding story. Lauren and Grymes’ wedding day began at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Tampa. The breathtaking Romanesque style church ,built over a century ago is a combination of granite and white marble with seventy stained glass windows. Our Tailored Twig design team marked the entrance with collections of floral creations on either side of the aisle. Towering gold toned vessels overflowed with botanicals in shades of pink and deep burgundy. Immense King Protea created a focal point and added texture to the arrangements which also included large clusters of antique hydrangea, wispy white spray roses, Quicksand and pink Mondial roses, as well as Privet Berries, Pepperberry Greens and Italian ruscus. Lauren carried a stunning, unique, bridal bouquet of King Protea, cymbidium orchids, black scabiosa, white anemones with dark centers, Quicksand and Heart roses with seeded eucalyptus, hanging green amaranthus and privet berry. This was the perfect accent to her luxurious full ballgown with long illusion and lace applique sleeves. Their Tampa wedding continued with the reception hosted at the iconic Armature Works at the Heights Public Market. The expansive event space with industrial brick walls, original wood floors and exposed ironwork named The Gathering was an incredible backdrop for this couple’s gathering of family and friends. The center of the 10,000 square foot space was anchored with a double sided lounge area combining vintage hunter green loveseats, modern geometric metallic coffee tables, wooden benches and sofa tables with towering gold urns topped with rustic wooden crossbeams. These rustic trellis inspired structures were wrapped in grapevine and dotted with antique hydrangea, seeded eucalyptus and clusters of spray roses in pink, cream and burgundy. The room was filled with tables draped in soft shimmering linen and gold candles. Tall urns in metallic tones created a waterfall of color with lush florals in burgundy, pale pink and greenery. The enormous floral chandeliers dangled above a head table set for sixteen. A living plant wall created a soft contrasting background to the exposed brick walls. The tablescape flowed with small metallic vessels of monochromatic clusters of spray roses with candles in contemporary glass containers and gold tone votive cups as accents. Large asymmetrical arrangements bursting with magnolia leaves, hanging burgundy amaranthus and touches of cream, soft pink and deep rich burgundy anchored the ends of the head table. Our Tailored Twig design team loved working with Lauren, Grymes and a talented team of wedding professionals to create this unique wedding experience.

Kenzie and Max’s wedding took full advantage of this magnificent, sprawling estate that can host events in several unique locations. Their waterfront wedding ceremony was hosted on the terrace of the Ca’ d’Zan Mansion where the couple exchanged their wedding vows just steps from the mansions boat dock. With the sun setting on Sarasota Bay a simple elegant hedge wall of lush white and green botanicals, snapdragons, white veronica and white delphinium added height and texture to this organic focal point. Ghost chairs lined the terrace showcasing the beautiful natural materials and stonework. Accents of white florals, greenery and soft cream-colored pillar candles in glass cylinders appeared to float down the aisle. Kenzie’s lush hand-tied bridal bouquet of white peonies, garden roses, white veronica, soft creamy Quicksand roses, lisianthus, dusty miller and olive branches accented the sweetheart neckline of her wedding gown’s lace bodice. After the wedding ceremony and cocktails on the mansion’s terrace, guests were transported across the property to the Ringling Museum Courtyard for dinner and dancing. A waterfall of twinkling lights danced above several long, clear tables with acrylic ghost chairs. Long, low centerpieces of white and soft greenery crept the length of the tables; dotted with candles they appeared to float along the tables. The center tables were surrounded by a mix of round and rectangular guest tables draped in pale pink with sparkling votive candles. Tall centerpieces anchored each end of the long tables with smaller vessels of soft white flowers and votive candles dotted the tablescape. The round tables each held a simple, elegant centerpiece of flowers in shades of cream, white and soft greenery each one adding interest with unique textures. Crystal chandeliers hanging from the trees and clear glass elements paired with soft white flowers created a luxurious outdoor reception under the stars. We wish Kenzie and Max a lifetime of happiness; our Tailored Twig design team was thrilled to be part of your wedding day.

The rich pink hues of this wedding design paired perfectly with the deep rich tones of the bougainvillea that surrounded the outdoor wedding venue. Our floral creations began with Christian’s full, lush bridal bouquet. This hand tied bouquet was wrapped in white lace to pair with her wedding gown. An assortment of large full roses including deep hot pink, white “Eskimo”, and light pink “Ester” roses blended with the textures of the pink Veronica, tropical ginger, ivy and seeded eucalyptus. The bridesmaids were dressed in brilliant deep raspberry gowns and carried stem wrapped bouquets of roses in softer shades of pink and white that complimented the tones of the groomsmen’s elegant boutonnieres. The outdoor wedding ceremony at dusk was held under a simple wooden arch wrapped in a thick, lush garland of greens washed in a soft light to accent the couple as they exchanged their wedding vows. The lawn of the Ringling Museum was filled with round tables draped in clean crisp white linens. The focal points were unique metallic toned vessels bursting with tropical ginger, Queen Anne’s Lace, ranunculus in shades of pink and light peach as well as pink and white spray roses. Gold chiavari chairs, clear table numbers with gold rims and gold charger added a little shimmer to play with the rich pink tones. A four-tiered modern wedding cake was brushed in gold leaf and shades of pink with a cascade of simple pink spray roses and ivy tips. Congratulations Christian and Robb, our Tailored Twig team was thrilled to be part of your luxurious Sarasota destination wedding.

The exposed brick walls and plaster accents created a rustic backdrop that our Tailored Twig team enhanced with unique floral and decorative elements. A custom wedding suite of vellum covered invitations, contemporary matte gold envelopes with random splatters provided a beautiful color pallet for accents and details thought the wedding. A canopy of market lights shimmered above guest’s heads during Chelsea and Matt’s wedding ceremony and again as the room was repurposed for their wedding reception. The floral focal structure was one of our favorites, a custom metal and wood arbor adorned with garland and blooms.Gold tone urns created columns which were topped with rustic wooden cross beams and wrapped with thick ropes of greenery, huge full king proteas, seeded eucalyptus and burgundy roses. In front of the arbor, the couple’s wedding ceremony was set with clear Ghost Chairs and an aisle that was dotted with chunky pillar candles and greenery. Chelsea carried a stunning bouquet of lush greens, seeded eucalyptus, burgundy tipped king protea, pink wax flower and burgundy roses and dahlias. The color story beginning with the ceremony continued into the wedding reception. Not only did the beautiful couple stand below the arbor to say their ‘I Do’s’ but it was then moved to serve as the backdrop to their sweet heart table. The reception was set with a mixture of rustic wooden feasting tables and tables draped in black velvet. Place settings were designed with gold reef charger plates, matte black dishes, gold flatware, pressed glass goblets, gray hemstitch napkins, and custom marble print design menus. Tall vases of King protea, seeded eucalyptus, deep burgundy, antique pink and cream roses, pink wax flower, white freesia , burgundy dahlias created centerpieces that floated above the guest tables. The organic textural elements and botanicals in deep pink and burgundy blended perfectly with the gold, black and grey tones throughout the historic theatre for the wedding of Chelsea and Matt’s dreams.
